NLP Process for Change

Mary M. provided the following comments on the NLP Process for Change:   "Getting people to articulate their desired state is something that requires a skilled questioner who understands how important framing is.  It is a pretty incredible experience when you have a conversation with someone and at the end you realize you have helped them see what could be in their future and truly understand all of the positive changes that will happen.  It is so much more rewarding than they way we used to be taught to badger people or “find their pain” to get ...

Check out what others are saying about EnrollMatch

Comments from Chris Y : "The modules and webinars are very eye-opening in certain respect and certainly provide perspective. I think moving forward, I’ll be more adept and cognizant with identifying certain stages a prospective student may be in, and, in turn, can communicate more effectively with the methods and strategies that have been addressed in a variety of modules an webinars. Knowing what questions to ask, how to ask them as well as knowing what NOT to ask will improve my overall rapport and developing relationships with students. Putting questions into perspective from above the line ...

Returning to Campus or Staying Remote?

How many of you are already back in the office, even in a hybrid type schedule? Or is your institution planning on returning after July 1 to in-person? Or has your organization adopted remote style of work?  I'm interested to hear where you are all working from these days and also, if you had a perfect world, which atmosphere would ultimately choose for your work environment? And has your response changed over the past year or so?

What's your VAK style?

We are often trying to determine the preferred styles of our prospective students, that sometime we forget about our own preference.  So I am interested to know what is your VAK style of choice?  Are you visual, auditory or kinesthetic?

Share your Space!

Some of us might have a home office right now, some of us might be going into an office, either way, your space represents you. So what are things that help you be productive in your space? What are some things that help you maintain a positive attitude or stay calm? For years, I was constantly moving around my house to find the most lighting, the area that was most quiet, and the area that kids would stay out of, but it just didn't work for me anymore. I hated moving around all day long. So in the ...

Professional Goals - 2021

In order to achieve consistent success in the professional world, it's important to establish and set professional goals. There is no better time to review your professional goals than at the beginning of a new year. Throughout 2020 as we were all experiencing our strange new world, I made a commitment to read more professional books that would allow me to expand my knowledge and to grow professionally. I did select a few great books to read, such as "Good to Great" by Jim Collins, and "The Power of Positive Leadership" by Jon Gordon, both ...

Training Tools

I have a question about training needs. If you could imagine a tool to help you train your staff better, what would it look like? Or if you are newer employee, what do you wish you had access to during your initial training that would help you?   Just trying to take an inventory on your training needs and seeing how we can best help you and your team succeed in 2021!

2021 Focus

What is your word for 2021? I always dedicate a word to the new year. Last year, I actually picked "resilient" as my word, and I found that so fitting. Also I am a bit shocked that I picked that even before the pandemic, and it was necessary to be resilient through everything.  This year I have chosen the word "enjoy" because through everything I learned in 2020, it is far more beneficial to enjoy something every day then it is to harbor negative vibes.  Let us know what your word is and what it means ...

Engagement over the holidays

I think it is a great time to share ideas with each other.  So I am wondering how are you planning on staying engaged with your students who are enrolled to start right after the new year? How are you keeping them excited and focused over the holidays? Whether you are at a traditional or non-traditional school, January is usually one of the largest starts of the year so it is great to bounce ideas off each other to help reach all of our goals.  Share in the comments below!

Personal Touch

Typically, the busy fall start is a fun time to be on campus. Everyone is excited and it is just busy with activity. Since most of us are working from home, we might not get to see our new students and check in with them face to face like normal. What are some of the personal touches that you are doing to check in with the newbies, how are you making it meaningful?

Four Key Competencies in the age of COVID

One of the most impactful realizations for many in the course of learning the SEA is that when done properly, student interaction is far less about sales and product knowledge (proportionally) than it is about people skills and attitude. How are you actualizing your people skills and proper attitude with your prospective students in the "age of COVID" ?
