2021 Focus

What is your word for 2021?

I always dedicate a word to the new year. Last year, I actually picked "resilient" as my word, and I found that so fitting. Also I am a bit shocked that I picked that even before the pandemic, and it was necessary to be resilient through everything.  This year I have chosen the word "enjoy" because through everything I learned in 2020, it is far more beneficial to enjoy something every day then it is to harbor negative vibes.

Let us know what your word is and what it means to you in the comments.  And Happy New Year!

My word for 2021 is GRATEFUL. Grateful to be alive and network with great individuals like all of you. :-)

Juan-
Thank you so much for sharing. We are grateful for you too! What an amazing outlook during such crazy times. Keep that attitude because it is contagious!

Yes, Kelly, "resilient" was most appropriate for the many obstacles individuals and companies faced in 2020. My word for 2021 is "patience". As we all continue to work through the pandemic, a lot of patience will be required. Everyone is eager to get back to "normal", but it may take the entire year to get to that point, hence the reason why I chose "patience" as my word for 2021. If I had a second word it would be "persistence". I believe a combination of both will be required in 2021.

Thanks for sharing Jim!  Those are both great words to use as focus on this new year.

I know that I could always use a little more focus on patience myself. So thanks for the reminder!

Balance is great Jean! Someone had shared a meme with me about balance a while back and I just looked it up to make sure I had it right for you:

"There is no such thing as work-life balance – it is all life. The balance has to be within you." -Sadhguru

Personally, I try to find time to get some yoga/meditation in even just for a few minutes as a breathing reset and that always helps me find some inner balance and peace. I hope you continue to focus and find your balance too!
