Are your students ZOOM-ing in?

I have a question for those of you who use ZOOM or ZOOM-like video interface techniques with your students in the interview process, are your students comfortable with joining with their camera?  I know I feel comfortable using my camera and I hope students use theirs because seeing them helps with the discovery process but are some people avoiding it?  I'd love to hear how some of you encourage students to turn on the camera.

I have heard from some schools and colleges that their students don't have Internet access making this problematic. I wonder how many others find this with some of their student population? and how do you work around this challenge?

We offer Zoom sessions, but many more students are comfortable with presentations, plus phone calls. It's not the same thing, but given their responsiveness, it is encouraging. Some of us even use our webcams during the presentation to entice the student to do the same. They don't always, but some do and we don't have to ask them or make them feel awkward about having what counts for a face to face interview these days.
